If you’re reading this today, chances are you love someone living with dementia.
First I want you to know something important: You are not alone
Caring for someone with dementia can be one of the most loving, rewarding, heartbreaking, and exhausting journeys a person will ever experience. Some days bring smiles, laughter, and precious moments of connection. Other days may leave you feeling overwhelmed, uncertain, or simply tired.
I’ve worked as a Health Care Aide and I have spent 30 years caring for people living with dementia. Along the way, I’ve learned that every person is different, every family has its own story, and no caregiver has all the answers.
That is why I created Caregiver Corner.
This is a place where you’ll find practical tips, gentle encouragement, and real life advice that you can use every day.
Together we’ll explore topics such as:
Understanding dementia and why behaviors change
Communicating with kindness and patients
Managing daily care routines
Reducing stress for both you and your loved one
Looking after yourself while caring for someone else
Helpful resources, printable tools, and caregiver support
Most importantly , I hope you’ll leave each visit feeling encouraged.
You don’t have to be a perfect caregiver.
You simply need to keep showing up with love, patients, and compassion, one day, one moment, and sometimes one breath at a time.
Thank you for being here.
I’m honored to walk this journey with you.
With kindness,
Alice Morrison
Health Care Aide
